The Virginia Conservation Credit Exchange, LLC (VCCE) was created to serve as a marketplace for buying and selling Virginia Land Preservation tax credits.

Landowners can gain liquidity by selling tax credits awarded to them by the State of Virginia as a result of placing land under a conservation easement. These credits are offered at a discount to VCCE’s buyer network, allowing Virginia taxpayers significant savings on their tax liability.

VCCE conducts site-visits with the landowner and thoroughly reviews the easement, appraisal, and other documentation used to support the tax credits. VCCE administers the legal and financial transactions required to close and ensures the transfer is acknowledged by the Virginia Department of Taxation by completing and filing Form LPC with the Tax Department.
